Strings in the Mountains Holiday Concerts

Steamboat Springs, CO – From a gala concert with hors d’oeuvres and champagne to puppets, Peter and The Wolf and childhood screams of glee, Strings in the Mountains Music Festival ushers in the holiday season with two delightful concerts. On Wednesday, December 27, 2006 the celebrated Eroica Trio performs at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and Conference Center for the annual Strings’ Holiday Gala Concert. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m., but all ticket holders are invited to a champagne and hors d’oeuvres reception which begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65. Reserved seats can be purchased with a $500 donation. On Thursday, December 28, 2006, bring the whole family to a marionette performance of Peter and the Wolf! Prokofiev’s classic tale introducing instruments to the ears and minds of young listeners is brought to life through world renowned master puppeteer, Jim Gamble. This award-winning production features a variety of puppet characters with contemporary humor and classic music. Due to the popularity of these puppets shows, Strings is delighted to offer two productions: 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., both at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort and Conference Center.
