Steamboat Springs offers visitors and locals alike an array of great family activities for the 4th of July weekend! This is genuinely one of my very favorite celebrations in Steamboat. Nothing seems more appropriate to celebrate America's birthday than a festive parade followed with a delicious Routt Beer Float, plus one of the small town rodeos you can find! We hope to see you there.
Fourth of July Celebration: A community all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast will start the day. Childrens activities, concerts, and the annual parade down Lincoln Avenue will fill the day - look for the Prudential Steamboat Realty float promoting the Sunshine Kids!
Art on the Mountain: Local and visiting artisans bring a great variety of their work to display and sell in Gondola Square at the Steamboat Ski Area. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 3-5 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
Farmers Market: Weekly farmers' market featuring fresh produce, meats, cheese, locally grown products, select arts and crafts. Saturdays, June 13 - Sept 12. 9am - 2 pm
Pioneer Day Block Party: After the 4th of July parade down Lincoln Ave., come to the Museum and enjoy a free community concert, kids' activities, refreshments, our famous Routt Beer Floats, and free admission to the Museum.
Pro Rodeo Series: A PRCA sanctioned rodeo series kicks off the evening festivities with bull riding, barrel racing and more. Events start at 7pm at Romick Arena in downtown Steamboat.
Fireworks Display: Join us for a breathtaking fireworks display at historic Howelsen Hill and celebrate July 4th with Steamboat tradition. One of the largest displays in the state, this nighttime extravaganza will begin at dark, roughly 9:00pm.
Plus, on Sunday you can watch the annual Cowboy Round-up Days cattle drive, where they will move hundreds of cows right down Main Street!
