And what better way to wish them good luck than with a HUGE party.  The 2010 Olympic Send-off & Community Celebration is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5 and will be a focal point for the 97th annual Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival. The event will be held in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs adjacent to the Routt County Courthouse starting at 6:30pm.  Evening events include the lighting of a 20 ft tall Community Cauldron, fireworks, and a Flying Aces aerial show.

Prior to the Steamboat Olympic Send-off festivities, swing down to Steamboat's premier downtown development on 5th and Yampa, The Olympian.  The Prudential Steamboat team will be hosting a special unveiling of our ski history exhibit. Take a walk through the history of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, and peruse a collection of ski memorabilia from the Colorado Ski Museum.  We hope to see you there!
