Posted December 21, 2006Read full article →Travellers are stranded, Denver is shut down, snow is still falling from the sky, and all parking lots around the ski area are FULL.
From what I’m hearing the skiing is unbelievable. What a great place to be stuck in. Steamboat Springs, Colorado. On another note, today’s paper is talking about the sale of the ski area and the Local paper had an article in Letter from the Editor from Scott Stanford who discusses art critizism and the lack of it in his newpaper. Skiing in Steamboat Versus Skiing in New Hampshire
Posted December 08, 2006Read full article →Every day I like to read the Steamboat Pilot’s new Blog – The Big Blogski and today was amused when the headline from Mike Lawrence read: Hey, it’s better than New Hampshire.
I’m from New Hampshire, actually grew up in the next town over from Mike, and it made me laugh. Lately skiing has reminded me of home: the packed powder conditions and the slick spots that make you lose your balance. However, it has made me a better skier. You know what they say, If you can ski Killington, you can ski ANYTHING. -
