Santa brings deep powder to Ski Town USA!
Posted December 23, 2007Read full article →When I heard the forecast call for 100% chance of snow I knew this would be a good Christmas! With a recent series of storms dropping more than 4 feet of snow in the past week, the Steamboat Ski Resort has surpassed 100 inches of Champagne Powder snow in the month of the December.
With all the family and friends in town for the holidays it was a great time to take a long lunch and test out the conditions. And I am hear to report that every run we took was outstanding! Cruising down the trees along Vagabond offered knee-deep bliss...that made co-workers stare when I returned to the office with an ear-to-ear grin!
The mountain now has 95% of the trails open for pure powder enjoyment!
