Hal Unruh
Although a native of Montana, Hal has lived most of his life in Southern California. After receiving a Degree in Business Administration at the California State University in Pomona, he joined the international accounting firm of Arthur Young & Company and obtained his C.P.A. license. Four years later he entered the real estate profession at Daum Commercial Real Estate. The next 20 years were spent in various positions of administering commercial and industrial real estate gaining competency in property management, investor acquisitions, developments and brokerage sales and leasing. Hal's experiences from working with owners and tenants along with his financial background have provided him with a keen ability to understand each perspective. His approach has never been one of selling, but of thoroughly understanding his clients' needs and then pursuing those requirements in a professional manner. He truly believes the only good transaction is one where each party has successfully achieved their goal. Hal looks forward to offering his expertise here in the Steamboat Springs marketplace. Prior to moving to Steamboat, Hal spent five years as General Manager of the prestigious Manhattan Country Club in Manhattan Beach, California. He was responsible for all club operations encompassing sports, youth programs, food and beverage and the leasing of office space in the complex. Hal and his wife Janet relocated here last November desiring a lifestyle in a mountain resort community. The choice has been a good one for them. They look forward to many enjoyable years in Steamboat. Hal's personal hobbies include skiing, tennis, volleyball, hiking, cycling and a passion for music.
